Explosion Safety for screens

Screens (and wind sifters etc.) usually do not develop any internal ignition sources - explosion safety is therefore hardly ever required despite the extremely high probability of explosive mixtures developing within the screens and sifters.

But: Especially in combination with upstream dryers (such as spray dryers in the dairy industry, drum dryers in the wood industry or electric dryers in the starch industry), screens can often be an extremely dangerous combination. The wobbling and rotational movement of the screens can destroy originally hidden glowing embers that were created in the dryers and lead to an explosion, because the glowing embers often survive the mechanical conveyors without igniting there.

The pendulum motions of the screens require individual, vibration-free decoupled solutions. The REMBE® engineers have already reliably protected hundreds of screens worldwide. You can therefore completely rely on our know-how!

The overall picture counts:

The protection of individual system components is only as good as the protection of the entire system. Pay particular attention to having sufficient decoupling devices, and the protection against “over engineering”. Only if the entire system is observed, and the individual protective measures are aligned to each other, will your Explosion Safety concept be safe AND economic.

We therefore offer you comprehensive protection concepts and on-site consulting, on how you can implement organizational measures to achieve a greater degree of safety.
